Eligibility Criteria for the CM Punjab Honhaar Laptop Scheme
To qualify for the Honhaar Laptop Scheme 2025, students must meet specific criteria outlined by the Higher Education Department of Punjab. The eligibility requirements are as follows:

Academic Qualifications
- First-Year Students of 4-Year BS/B.Sc. Programs: Students enrolled in Medical, Dental, Engineering, Agriculture, Veterinary, and Technology colleges who have secured at least 60% marks in the last annual examination (for annual system) or 70% marks in the last semester examination (for semester system).
- First-Year Students of 2-Year Master’s Programs: Students who have achieved a minimum of 60% marks in the last annual examination or 70% in the last semester examination.
- MS/M.Phil./Ph.D. Scholars: New scholars in public sector institutions who have secured at least 60% marks in the last annual exam or 70% in the last semester exam and have not received a laptop in previous schemes.
Special Categories
- Top Matriculation Students: The top 100 students from each of the nine provincial boards, technical boards, and the Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education.
- Students from Other Regions: 400 top students each from Matric and Intermediate exams from other provinces, Azad Jammu and Kashmir, and Gilgit Baltistan.
- Deeni Madaris Students: 4,000 laptops allocated to students of Deeni Madaris, with merit criteria devised by the Auqaf Department, subject to approval by the Chief Minister.

Additional Allocations
- Minority Students: A directive has been issued to provide laptops to 2,000 minority students to promote inclusivity.
- Position Holders: Laptops will be awarded to Matriculation and F.Sc. position holders as a recognition of their academic excellence.
Ineligibility Criteria for Laptop Scheme
Certain groups are excluded from the Honhaar Laptop Scheme:
- HEC Scholarship Recipients: MS/M.Phil./Ph.D. scholars who are already recipients of Higher Education Commission scholarships.
- Employed Students: Students engaged in any form of employment, whether public or private.
- Previous Laptop Recipients: Students who have received laptops in previous schemes.
- Foreign Nationals: Except for students from Azad Jammu and Kashmir and Indian Occupied Kashmir, foreign nationals are not eligible.
