Assan Karobar Card Scheme: Important News for Loan Seekers

Lahore: An important update has emerged for individuals seeking loans under the Assan Karobar Finance Scheme. The processing of pending loan applications has been ordered to be completed swiftly.

According to details, a meeting was held under the chairmanship of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz regarding the Assan Karobar Finance and Assan Karobar Card. In the meeting, Maryam Nawaz demanded a plan for loans related to the export and manufacturing sectors.

The Chief Minister directed that the processing of applications under the Assan Karobar Finance and Card Loan programs should be completed as soon as possible, emphasizing that the programs must not be halted under any circumstances.

In a detailed briefing during the special meeting, it was shared that loans worth Rs. 23.91 billion have been issued for starting new businesses. A total of 6,753 women have availed loans amounting to Rs. 3.42 billion to run their own businesses. Additionally, the Assan Karobar Card can now also be activated via WhatsApp.

Under the Chief Minister’s Assan Karobar Finance Scheme, 3,010 individuals have received loans worth Rs. 18 billion, while 104,000 individuals were issued loans totaling Rs. 43 billion.

A total of 74,579 applications were received for the Chief Minister Assan Karobar Finance program, out of which 2,505 were approved and loans were disbursed. For Tier-2 of the finance scheme, 12,029 applications were received, and 505 were approved with loans granted.

Moreover, for the Chief Minister Assan Karobar Card Scheme, 1,380,838 applications were received, out of which 104,133 were approved.

In the transportation business category, 13,012 individuals obtained loans amounting to Rs. 3.91 billion, while for trading and distribution, 175 individuals secured Rs. 3.94 billion in loans.

In addition, through the Assan Karobar Card, 61,996 individuals offering services received loans worth Rs. 26.13 billion, 24,522 individuals involved in trading received Rs. 10.75 billion, and 10,699 individuals operating in the agri-small business sector received loans totaling Rs. 3.69 billion.
