Good news for the people of Punjab! Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has announced that Rashan Cards will be given to poor and needy families in Punjab starting from 1st May 2025.

Who Will Get the Rashan Cards?
Let’s first talk about which families will receive the Rashan Cards. According to the announcement, these cards will mostly be given to those families who received Rs. 10,000 during the Nigahban Ramadan Package in the holy month of Ramzan.
If there are still more cards available after covering those families, then the remaining will be given to newly registered families who qualify. As per the details, around 15 lakh (1.5 million) families from Punjab will be given these Rashan Cards under this scheme.

Who is Eligible Rashan Card Scheme?
The government has not officially shared the full rules yet, but here are some expected conditions:
- You must have a valid CNIC (ID card).
- You must be a permanent resident of Punjab.
- Families getting help from other government programs will not get this card.
- If any family member is working in a government job, or is involved in illegal work, they are not eligible.
- Families with more than Rs. 50,000 monthly income or those who are tax filers will also not get the card.
- Only one person per family will get the card.

How to Register for the Rashan Card?
Now the most important part — how to register?
If your family already received Rs. 10,000 during the Nigehban Ramadan package, you don’t need to register again. The government already has your data, and the card will be sent to you automatically.
For others, the Punjab government will only give the Rashan Card if you have completed your PSER Survey (Punjab Socio-Economic Registry).
You can complete this survey in two ways:
- Online — by visiting the official PSER website.
- If you cannot do it online, visit your nearest Khidmat Markaz. The government has opened over 5,000 registration centers across Punjab to help people.
